At uni I did some of my modules in American Studies. I learnt that black enslaved people who were not allowed to marry would 'Jump the Broom' as a sign that despite the hardship love cannot be quashed, They were taking a 'Leap of faith' together. Showing the world they believed in each other. How Wonderful . I have since learnt Jumping the Broom is mentioned in Great Expectations by Charles Dickens and The Celts and Welsh also have versions. I have always thought if I have a business I would use 'Jumping the Broom' as the name and here we are !

I am looking forward to this journey and in the words of Rebecca Ferguson ' Nothing's real but love'
